1.  Booking Confirmation:

A booking does not guarantee that your hunt has been confirmed.

It’s essential to understand that a booking is merely a reservation, and the confirmation process occurs separately.

Once you’ve made a booking, further communication will take place to confirm the details telephonically.

2.  Payment and Deposit:

To secure your hunt, the following aspects needs to be finalised and confirmed:

• Hunters who wish to purchase a package need to pay 50% of the total value of the package. Proof of payment needs to be forwarded via email to Gideon at gideon1234taljaard@gmail.com 

• Hunters who wish to shoot individual animals without a specified animal nominated and want to stay over for two days or more, need to pay their accommodation fee and the hunting fee in total as deposit for the hunt. 

• Day hunters, who won't stay over, need to pay the hunting fee for one day as well as the total value for all animals to be shot, as a deposit for the hunt. 

• All outstanding fees must be settled before the farm is left for the last time.

The deadline for payment of the deposit is not later than 14 days after the booking date. Meeting this deadline is crucial for the confirmation of your hunting trip.

No hunt will be confirmed before the deposit is paid.

If a hunt is cancelled, no monies paid will be refunded.  It can be used as a deposit for a next hunt in the same hunting season.

3.  Finalization of Hunt:

The hunt will be finalized telephonically at least 7days before the arrival date.

4.  Firearm  Safety: (South African Firearm laws will be applied)

Firearm Safety stays the responsibility of each hunter. It can not be delegated to a next person.

Children that joins a hunt will be the responsibility of the person doing the booking.

Children hunting will always be under the guidance of a hunter with a firearm license and will pay full hunting tariff.

Children will not be allowed to hunt alone.

All firearms will be zero'd on the first day of the hunting trip.  a Shooting range at the camp is available for this purpose.

5.  Group Size:

If your group consists of 6 or fewer people, you will pay R500.00 person per day;

However, if your group size falls between 6 and 8 people, you have the option to hire half of the camp exclusively for your group at a total cost of R3,000.00 (Three thousand Rand) per day

If your group consists of 8 - 10 people, you will pay R500.00 person per day

However, if your group size falls between 11 and 16 people, you have the option to hire the entire camp exclusively for your group at a total cost of R5,000.00 (Five thousand Rand) per day.

6.  Penalties

50 % of the price of the animal that was shot upon is payable as penalty if:

• The hunter cannot show a carcass before sunrise on the day after the shot was fired.

• Both the guide and the hunter agree that the shot that was fired missed the animal that was shot upon.

Accidental discharges on the back of the vehicle is punishable with 100% penalty fee above the full term accommodation fee of the hunter. The hunter will also be asked to leave the farm. This is above the legal action if someone was hurt. 

No hunter may fire a shot from a vehicle while it is moving.

By law no person may use a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.

7.  General.

The management of Salzburg Hunting holds the right to cancel any hunt before or during a hunting session.
